Visit your Wawa and help kids like Logan and Lennon treated at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital

In honor of pediatric patients here in Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, Hillsborough, Pinellas, Polk, Manatee, Hardee, Highlands, Sarasota, De Soto, Glades, Charlotte, Lee, Hendry and Collier counties, we’re thrilled to partner with The Wawa Foundation for the annual CMN Hospitals fundraising campaign.  Now through May 26, Wawa customers can donate $1, $2 or $5 dollars to help kids like Logan and Lennon who are treated at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.

Logan and Lennon Heck are fraternal twins who were born seven weeks early, weighing in at five pounds each. After delivery, they required a 21 day stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where Lennon received special lung treatments, and Logan received monitoring and light therapy for jaundice. Both boys required feeding tubes and IV’s until they learned how to eat on their own. At age two, they had outpatient surgeries when identical urological problem was discovered.

Around Logan’s third birthday, a significant speech delay was observed. The audiology team at Johns Hopkins All Children’s conducted tests, and determined he suffered nerve damage in his left ear that caused hearing loss. Logan now wears his “magic ear” proudly, and his confidence in his treatment and love for the hospital is a testament to the quality of care he receives there.

On behalf of Logan and Lennon and all the kids treated at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, thanks in advance for your support of sick and injured children in our area.
