That’s billion, with a “b”

Sofia, our 2018 CMN Hospitals Champion

One. Billion. Dollars. That’s right. Walmart and Sam’s Club just passed $1 billion in fundraising for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across North America!

For the past 31 years Walmart and Sam’s Club associates across the country have been helping families in their communities live better by raising funds for CMN Hospitals, which includes Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.

Locally, Walmart and Sam’s Club associates, customers and members raised $671,286 for Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital during their August 27 to October 7 Campaign. Locations held various in-store fundraising activities and asked customers and members at the register to help kids live better.

“The $1 billion raised by Walmart and Sam’s Club customers, members and associates has changed the world of children’s healthcare,” said John Lauck, president and CEO, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “Because of their generosity, tens of millions of kids across the U.S. and Canada are living better.”

Thank you Walmart and Sam’s Club associates, customers and members for your help in making Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital a place of compassion, care and cures.
