Reverse Trick or Treat 2017!

We celebrated Halloween! Our Child Life department once again put together a reverse trick or treat event, which is a relatively new Halloween tradition at Johns Hopkins All Children’s. Employees of JHACH visited patients on the 5th, 7th and 8th floors of the hospital, stopping at the doorway of patient rooms to appreciate the children’s costumes and hand out treats.

“We are thankful that employees support our patients by donating costumes, decorated pumpkins and in-kind items and also by wearing costumes and taking part in the Reverse Trick-or-Treating Halloween Parade,” says Kristin Maier, director of Child Life, music therapy and patient academics. This neat tradition allowed patients to feel involved even if they couldn’t leave their room. Lots of candy, trinkets and smiles were had by all!
